Interaction
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to active ingredient, mechanical obstacles in the biliary tracts. It might act like estrogen. If you have any condition that might be made worse by exposure to estrogen, don’t use these extracts. It should not be used in patients with Breast cancer, endometriosis, hormone sensitive conditions, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, uterine fibroids. It might lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. Dosing adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary. There is not enough reliable information about the safety of taking milk thistle if you are breast feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
Precautions
It can interact with Diazepam, valium, glipizide, losartan, tamoxifen, piroxicam.
